Andy Hewitt

Andy Hewitt

Principal – Claims Class

Andy Hewitt has almost 40-years experience in the construction industry, which has been gained in the United Kingdom, Africa and the Middle East where he has worked on many iconic projects. He has held senior contracts, commercial and project management positions with contractors, sub-contractors and consultants, including several years operating his own consultancy practice, both in the UK and in the Middle East.  Andy is the author of the internationally acclaimed book Construction Claims & Responses; effective writing & presentation released in 2011 and is also the author of The FIDIC Contracts: Obligations of the parties released in May 2014He often contributes articles to industry publications and regularly presents at conferences and seminars.

Andy’s experience has led him to specialise in contractual issues, claims and dispute management as both a consultant and as a teacher and trainer. To this end, Andy developed and launched the Claims Class Distance Learning and Intensive Training Courses, both of which are offered on an international basis.

Nina Hewitt

Nina Hewitt-Tyrrell

General & Marketing Manager – Claims Class

Nina Hewitt-Tyrrell has seven years experience working as a marketing professional. Nina began her career at KPMG where she was primarily responsible for assisting the Advisory departments with their marketing requirements. Nina’s responsibilities included everything from brochure design and content to full scale marketing plans which usually consisted a variety of marketing channels (online, print, PR, social media, etc.). Nina was also responsible for developing and managing corporate conferences and seminars ranging from focused round table discussions to conferences hosting 200+ professionals.

Nina joined Hewitt Construction Consultancy in early 2012. Nina’s focus is to market, manage and grow the training and education side of the business, marketed under the banner of Claims Class. Since joining, Nina has successfully overhauled the Claims Class brand, designed, developed and launched the new Claims Class website, introduced Claims Class to the world of social media, implemented our global marketing strategy and these days, is focused on creating and managing the newest addition to the Claims Class course portfolio, e-courses.

Nina is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and is currently studying a Diploma in Professional Marketing. Nina hopes to gain full membership once her studies are complete.
