ANDY HEWITT

Andy Hewitt has held senior contracts, commercial and project management positions with contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. This included many years operating his own consultancy practice, both in the UK and in the Middle East. He often contributes articles to industry publications and regularly presents at conferences and seminars.

Andy is the author of the internationally acclaimed book Construction Claims & Responses: effective writing & presentation released in 2011 and is also the author of The FIDIC Contracts: Obligations of the Parties released in May 2014.

Andy’s experience has led him to specialise in contractual issues, claims and dispute management as both a consultant and as a teacher and trainer. To this end, Andy developed and launched Claims Class in 2012. He continues to grow the portfolio of workshops and e-courses on offer to students on an international basis.

Andy is also a director of specialist consultancy, Hewitt Decipher Consulting, which helps clients deal with claims and disputes, providing expert advice and guidance to clients. In his spare time, Andy is an avid motorcyclist and family man, splitting his time between homes in Europe and the Middle East.
